Hi, that sounds like Windows User Account Control which often asks for permission before installing a program or update. However in Firefox you wouldn't normally see it, as the Mozilla Maintenance Service overrides it. You should see it in your Programs next to Mozilla Firefox, but it's possible that it has been turned off in the Firefox Options (General > Firefox updates - Allow Firefox to - Use a background service to install updates), or it hasn't installed properly. It may therefore be simply asking if it's OK to install a Firefox update, in which case you should allow it.
