Hello, if you were not aware -- Google has become the default search engine in US based installed of Firefox.

To change your search engine type in about:preferences#search in your URL bar, click on the drop down menu and choose your preferred search engine.
Did you look at your settings as well to see what else changed?
yes, i never had an issue with this... its the FIRST upgrade/update ever, where the "new" version disables the users search engine and ads another one, I think its a bug...
Hi, please try changing your search engine back to the one you want following my guide above. If that solved your problem -- mark as solution.
of course this works, already done
the issue is that after an update the browser shouldn't change search engine settings!
Sorry for the inconvenience. This happened once before when Mozilla signed a default search provider agreement with Yahoo. Recently Google replaced Yahoo. You can choose your preferred default again: Change your default search settings in Firefox.
already done, but this shouldn't happen as it is patronizing users!
Hello, mark my first reply as solution since it solved your problem. You picked the wrong reply.
its not THE solution, a real solution would be to avoid the problem from the beginning by not patronizing users! I already knew how to change settings

You can choose your own post as a solution. ;-)
