TB suddenly not deleting Outlook files

I have been using TB linked to an Outlook account, amongst others. Up till the last few days, if I deleted an Inbox message from the Outlook account in the relevant TB Inbox folder, it simply went to the TB trash, and did not reappear. A few days ago something went wrong, without my interference. I now delete emails in the TB Inbox folder for the Outlook account, close TB, and on opening, all the messages reload again. It is now impossible to delete messages from the TB folder for the Outllook account, they simply reappear. None of the other accounts have the same problem. I must admit I am sick of these unsought sudden changes in mailer behaviour, and help would be much appreciated.

outlook has not actually deleted messages in pop accounts when you delete them in mail clients for a number of years now. They move them to a sub folder of the deleted called POP.

Outlook at times (every few years so far) actually processes the moves slowly so you download your next lot of mail before it get off it's collective and processes the move so you get them again.

I suggest you change the outlook default setting to actually delete the messages when a delete command comes it. Make a permanent fix.
