Where in Firefox is a listing of my search engines?
There is no search bar. Its just gone. I have an illegal search engine that has taken over my computer and the company that put it there says I have to remove it in the search engine portion of Firefox. Where do I find this? Its Called "My Start" from IncrediBar.com. They have provided no help and just said I have to remove it from the Web Browser I am using, which is Firefox and I can't get much help from Mozilla either. There has to be an easy way to do this but I sure can't find it. I have no idea where/how to look in Firefox for the list of Search Engines. I looked in the "Program Lise" in the Control Panel but this program is not listed there. Can somebody PLEASE help me get rid of the annoying pest.

None of these so called fixes do anything. First off I never downloaded an Incdimail or anything else. It started after an automatic Windows update. I did not download a new search engine or toolbar or email program. NOTHING. The buttons you are telling me do press do not exist. There is no Firefox tab in the upper right or left side of my computer. I hate this. I never asked for this. Can't anyone out there understand what I am saying? I NEVER DOWNLOADED ANYTHING FROM INCREDIBLE ANYTHING. I don't understand half of what you are telling me to do. I have no search bar as when I deleted the search engine in question, it deleted the entire search box window and there seems to be no way to get it back. Firefox does not seem to offer that add on. Frustrated beyond belief now. I just give up! Not one single thing that I have been told to do, can even be started because what you asking me to do is not possible on Firefox running on Windows 7.
You marked this thread as "solved", when it isn't?
I'm not telling you to press anything. I referred you to some outside support articles that are related to what you say is affecting your PC, namely My Start and IncrediBar.
If that problem started with a Windows update, why not try a Windows support forum for help?
I give up. I never said the problem was solved. All these answers about how to fix this say I have to start with the incrediBar but there is no such thing. I never downloaded anything from them. Since this is something that I have to do from within Firefox, and this is a Firefox help page I thought at least 1 person here would be able to help me, but so far everyone just assumes I downloaded their toolbar and tell me to start there. It's not there. I never downloaded any new tool bar or e-mail program. The help I have received is a big fat zero. And there is no help from Microsoft period, not without paying a hefty fee.

We're giving you instructions to remove this. So let me break this down for you. You DO have some trace of Incredibar in Firefox or else you wouldn't be here or you wouldn't have that MyStart page from INCREDIBAR right? Also, just because it's not in your Control Panel, doesn't mean it doesn't exist in Firefox.

You say the menus don't exist, they do. The orange Firefox button was replaced by the "hamburger" icon (The image "new fx menu" does not exist.) in Firefox 29. So just substitute the Firefox button for the new menu. It really shouldn't be that different.
it deleted the entire search box window and there seems to be no way to get it back.
You can restore the Search box by going to Menu(The image "new fx menu" does not exist.) > Customize

It's not solved nor is it marked solved.

Looks like you've got a choice between paying Microsoft's expensive fee or here with us for free. It's rather easy :)
Have you even attempted the removal?
For Method 3 of 5 (Firefox), subsitute the Firefox Menu with the button on 29 (The image "new fx menu" does not exist.). The next steps shouldn't be that different. As for the MalwareTips:
To be safe, you should just reset Firefox. This'll save all of your personal information such as passwords but it'll wipe out all of your add-ons so it's best to keep a list.
You also might want to run a malware scan and ADWCleaner to wipe out anything from Incredibar
