At title say, after a few minutes of browsing in GST my whole browser basically freezes, it's unuseable, some elements turn black. I need to kill the process in the manager and restart the browser (sometimes killing the plugin container is enough). It happens for a while now, FF number doesn't really matter. Hardware acceleration is off. Google Maps works fine.

Turning black sound a bit like a Hardware Acceleration issue. If it isn't disabled - disable it. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/upgrade-graphics-drivers-use-hardware-acceleration#w_turning-off-hardware-acceleration

The latest version of Google Street View wouldn't work on my old WinXP box that I built not long after Vista came out - like in 2008. WinXP with 2.4GHz single core processor and 2 GB of RAM. I had to keep switching back to the old version of Street View to be able to use it last winter. But I think the option to revert to the old version is gone now.

Built a new PC in April. Works fine on Win7 32-bit with 3.9 GHz 4-core and 4 GB of RAM.

You may need more RAM / newer hardware then what the typical WinXP PC came with to use the new Google Street View.

Hardware acceleration is disabled. I have 4GB of RAM and 2,66GHz dual core CPU.
