How to fix freezes when importing Google Calendars?
I have a quite large calendar (which I cannot share publicly, since it is company internal stuff) on Google Calendar.
To connect Thunderbird with it, I followed the guide at https://support.mozilla.org/de/kb/mit-lightning-auf-google-kalender-zugreifen (It is in German, but that is the guide I used, so I will link it. Not sure how to find the English version of it, if there is any.). Essentially I:
1. installed that Addon named "Provider for Google Calendar" 2. created a network calendar with the Google Calendar option and my email address and email account password 3. checked the calendar I want to sync with
Then it downloaded events and stuff from that calendar, but it hangs after 900+ events and freezes Thunderbird. Two other Google Calendars work just fine, from the same email account.
I am not sure how to provide a log, considering, that I cannot share any of the data inside the calendar. If there is anything I can provide without sharing sensitive data (considering everything that has to do with work sensitive, including all the calendar events), please let me know.
- My Thunderbird version is: 52.2.1
- My Provider for Google Calendar version is: 3.3
- My OS on that machine is Windows 10.

The problem disappeared, when my permissions for the calendar were changed. So the extension `Provider for Google Calendar` seems to have an issue with the different settings for permissions for using the online calendars.
However, I have no clue about the extension's code or anything like that, so I cannot tell where exactly in the code the issue is.
