I noticed yesterday that Thunderbird wouldn't download my e-mail. It says it is connected to my e-mail server, but it doesn't download the e-mail. I can send e-mail. I tested this and got the test e-mail in Mail Washer. Mail Washer downloads them just fine from the server. I also got it in my webmail. You can see in the attached screenshot that it says that it is connected to the server. Looks like the image won't load.

I need to get this fixed and appreciate any help you can offer.

It loaded the second try.

I decided to try to reset the password. Only the SMTP showed in the password window. There wasn't a listing for the POP3. I chose delete all. I then tried to get my e-mail. It didn't ask me for a password. I then tried sending a test e-mail and it asked me for a password. Why didn't it ask when I tried to download my e-mail and why didn't it show in the stored password window?

Again, I'd appreciate any help.

Thanks in advance.

After more experimenting I noticed the following: This only happens using SSL/TLS. If I choose none, it connects and downloads.

I also checked my passwords again and noticed that the POP3 account name was an e-mail address that use to be my primary e-mail account with my former host company. I changed hosts and my primary e-mail account is different. I created all the same e-mail accounts when I switched, but all of them including my former primary e-mail account are forwarded to my current primary e-mail account.

So, if it is checking that account, there will be no e-mail there. I don't understand how it gets this account as my settings are correct with my current primary e-mail account.

I once more deleted all passwords and Thunderbird didn't ask for a new one for downloading. It did for sending.

Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks.
