I've looked through other peoples questions and googled for about an hour but nothing seems to work for me. I want the drop down triangles/arrows for folders, which I don't have right now (just got ff4). But I don't want the icons for folders or single bookmarks (which I have). So: No icons at all, but drop down arrows.

I'm completely new to this; used to have a theme that was exactly the way I wanted it. Any help or direction pointing is highly appreciated.

Add code to userChrome.css below the @namespace line.

@namespace url("http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul"); /* only needed once */

#personal-bookmarks .bookmark-item[container] .toolbarbutton-icon {
 display:none !important;
}

Hi cor-el, thanks for your answer. Unfortunately, that only helps me about halfway; it removed the folder icons but not the ones for single bookmarks, and I still have no drop down indicators for folders.

Getting the drop down arrows back is probably most important for me.

I tried another line of code from you from another thread, it got rid of the icons, but without the arrows it's just one long line of text that's really hard to read.

If you want to remove the icons on all toolbar items then leave out the [container] part.

#personal-bookmarks .bookmark-item .toolbarbutton-icon {
 display:none !important;
}

#personal-bookmarks .bookmark-item[container] > .toolbarbutton-menu-dropmarker {
 display:-moz-box !important;
}
