I moved to the new 13 version, but there is a white screen where the video is supposed to run. Youtube is also showing an error (not playing video).

I thought it was the new update to the flash player, but chrome and IE are working fine so it is a firefox thing.

Moderator Edit: The RealPlayer Record extension is known to cause this issue. Please read the Flash 11.3 doesn't load video KB article for details on disabling this extension.

Hi, I had this issue today and I fixed it with this solution : 1) Uninstall Adobe Flash Player plugin in Windows programs 2) Launch Firefox and go in www.youtube.com 3) Firefox suggests to install Flash Player's plugin (yellow bar at top). Install it.

Hi jgaulon, have you tried the steps in this article: Flash 11.3 doesn't load video in Firefox?

This is probably OK for people that will only use 1 browser... The solution is no good for multiple browser users...

Thanks for the info !

Hi dbergeron, because there are so many posts here, it's hard to tell which one you are commenting on. If you only want to turn off RealPlayer downloader for Firefox, you could try disabling the plugin from inside Firefox:

orange Firefox button or classic Tools menu > Add-ons > Plugins

If you meant something else, could you clarify what you meant?

I actually got the problem fixed and everything in all browsers work now!! I use 3 IE9, Firefox and Chrome. All the latest update versions now. But here's the deal for me. It had nothing to do with Real player I did nothing with real player to fix it and real player is working fine and everything else about it is still the same in Firefox and all browsers (works) The problem was this, lets start at what this thread is about, Firefox and the Firefox 13 flash player not working with video (white screen) and also YouTube videos not playing in Firefox? The new updated latest Flash player was the problem in Firefox... I'm no computer pro but I found this out by accident which may help some solve this problem, it worked for me!!! First off I found out if I tried to downgrade Flash player in Firefox and I didn't shut down my other browsers it screwed my other browsers Flash player up, so shut the other browsers off when downgrading Flash player in Firefox!!!! And also remember to shut off automatic Flash Player upgrade and Firefox upgrade for now in Firefox before you do any downgrading or when you restart Firefox you will be doing this same old CRAP all over again because it will upgrade it and your screwed again. After your finished downgrading your Flash Player ( I will show you where to go for this at the bottom of this reply and also the link for the downgrade Flash Player ) and making sure your Flash Player up grader is turned off you can upgrade Firefox if you want are even have to Hope they don't have this fixed before I finished typing this that would suck.... . You should now be all working at least I was after this, All is cool now!! So again one browser at a time you upgrade your flash with other browsers your not using close them!!! Here's the links.

1.This is for Version 11.2.202.235 of Flash player.scroll down to the bottom of the page and it is the 2nd one in the list at this moment. http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html

2. this is where to go to shut off your flash player upgrade. Copy and paste these if you have too. http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager05.html#118377

Here's a bonus, shutting off your Firefox updates,. At the top of the Firefox window, click on the Firefox button (Tools) and then click Options. Then Click the Advanced panel. then Click the Update tab. The auto-update options are displayed.

Hope this helps someone it did for me and again all is fine!!!

I used the windows uninstall of adobe flash player. i downloaded an old version flash player 10 for non-IE (old apps site) and installed it. went to the delaware sex offender site link from an email alert to test it since that's where my problem started. that site failed again but advised me to update adobe flash and gave me a link to do it. i updated to flash 11.3.300.262 from that link it now works so it may have been an incomplete uninstall somewhere along the line.

Yes Even I recently updated my Firefox to 13.0 so automatically the Adobe flash has update with that too 11.3 r300. From then either youtube is not working nor any content in my website too. Check here in my site you see a white box where flash need to be displayed -

http://smart-reviews.com/

http://xtremeno.smart-reviews.com/

But when i check the urls in Google Chrome it works fine. Then when I checks for Google chrome version of Flash, it has the previous version - Adobe Flash Player 11.2.202.233.

So I found the problem. Its with Adobe Flash latest version - 11.3 r300. And its not with the Mozilla 13.0.

Also Check this thread: [http://forums.adobe.com/message/4481693] I suggested, you should uninstall the latest version of flash plugin and reinstall the older version of flash till the Adobe flash team brings a stable release soon.

All is fine with me now in Firefox!!! Now if I could only figure why Google doesn't load all sites I would be in great shape. Well I guess it's off to the Google section site for that problem. To bad one browser doesn't do everything that I need it to do for what I need to do. I even need to use IE9 and it has no problems what so ever, just again it doesn't do everything I need to do but it does something I need that the others don't. Shsss.

Real Player just came out with a new update. I installed that and FF now shows all youtube video but still won't record. So, I d/l Flash Video Downloader 3.6.2 and use that to record video in FF.

more options

This is what worked for me. Open RealPlayer, Select the RealPlayer button on top left corner. Select Preferences, then select Download and Recording on bottom left side. Uncheck the Enable Download and Recording for these installed browsers box. Click Ok button, then Restart Firefox. Everything should be back to normal.

I have removed RealPlayer from my system. I went through all the other suggestions: open in SafeMode, check all AddOns, etc. I updated FlashPlayer to the latest version. I then uninstalled it, following the specific instructions provided and installed the earlier version as indicated in several of the "fixes" provided.

End result: I still can't play videos/You Tubes. This is very frustrating especially because I didn't choose to update to Firefox 13. I've seen lots of talk around the web that people have downgraded their version of Firefox. If I were to do that, does anyone have a recommendation as to what version would be likely to work?

Hi jcp370, which version of the "Shockwave Flash" plugin do you have now? You can check here:

orange Firefox button or classic Tools menu > Add-ons > Plugins

I don't think it matters which version of Firefox you have; I think it's a coincidence that Flash updated to 11.3 only a few days after Firefox updated to 13.0.

Thank you very much. I have tried for two days to fix this problem but it didn't work until just minutes ago. I followed your instructions and that solved my problem

You're very welcome. Glad it worked, and glad that I could help :)

I had this problem for weeks! I disabled 'Realplayer browser record Plugin' from Add-ons Manager and restarted FF.

Youtube works for me now :)

Had same problem lately with my 64 bit Vista Windows using Foxfire 13 as my browser. Downloaded latest version of Adobe Flash 11.3. Deleted my Real Player entirely. Low and behold UTUBE is fully functional.

I have a new problem with Firefox so anyone know are heard of this one? And this is weird. This happened at the same time. My Chrome browser was not loading some pages and Firefox was working perfect, then all of a sudden at the same time my Chrome browser started working perfect and then some pages loading come up in Firefox with this?

What a COMPLETE JOKE THIS IS

tried another route to install Flash 10.3 as suggested by Mozilla: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/flash-113-crashes#w_step-2-install-flash-10-3-or-11-2

Then Flash won't install it because IT ISN'T THE LATEST VERSION, it says. It actually doesn't allow you to downgrade, WTF.

Great.

What a shambles. A complete joke.
