I have a problem that started a few month ago. There is one page that I go to: http://www.tbn.org/watch-us that when using Fireflox only it always redirects and calls up another page on the same domain sight: http://www.tbn.org/search/.

This ONLY happens with Firefox This does not happen when using IE7 or Chrome.

I used CCleaner to clean out the Cache, History, Cookies, Download History and Session, but this does not resolve the issue.

Hi,

You can try to Forget About This Site via History (Alt + S) > Show All History, start typing the site on the top right Search and right-click any result that has tbn.org.

Forget About This Site

If problems persist, you may also want to Reset Firefox and start afresh.

The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information. Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.

To Reset Firefox do the following:

  1. Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
  2. Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
  3. Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
  4. Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

Further information can be found in the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article.

I should add that the page is accessible. Once the redirect occurs, I click the back button and it takes me back to the page I was after and stays there. But if I leave that windows, say to view another tab, it will do the same thing again when I go back to it.

I will give that a try and see what happens.

Thanks.

The clear history didn't work, but the RESET solve the problem.

The only problem now is that Firefox is telling me that LASTPASS is not supported on this version of Firefox, when it was working fine five minutes ago.

Fixed it. Uninstalled/Reinstalled LassPass and now it is working.

I stand corrected. The problem is NOT fixed. I went back to the website and it has started doing it again. There must be something in the website itself that is in conflict with Firefox that is causing this.

It worked great a couple of times, but then started doing the exact same thing of redirecting again to the same search page. Really strange and Firefox was reset.

I think I found it. The only thing I did since the Reset is reinstall LassPass. I disabled LassPass and the problem goes away. As soon as LassPass is enabled the problem returns.

Now to figure out why that is happening.

I deleted the URL from the LastPass vault and it seems to be working okay again. Time will tell if it stays that way.

Thanks for the detailed update :)

Not sure but perhaps the autologin feature in LastPass could be a cause, though it's a lil' strange that it's going to an insecure page with no logins. The LastPass forums would also be helpful. They would have up-to-date information regarding LastPass configuration and also any minor bugs etc.
