Stop Firefox autocompleting file location?
When I enter the URL of a certain NSFW website in the location bar, or just part of it, Firefox autocompletes with two embarrassing file locations. They take the following form:
file:///C:/users/[username]/downloads/[embarrassing filename]#_tabcomments and file:///C:/users/[username]/downloads/[embarrassing filename].htm
Apparently it's something I downloaded in the past. These files no longer exist, and if I right-click the locations, no context menu appears. I think it's to do with offline files that I've opened with Firefox. How can I make Firefox forget these locations? I've cleared all history but to no avail. I don't want to turn off autocomplete. I downloaded an add-on called Form History Control but couldn't find any relevant entries using it.
Can anyone please offer a solution?

You can delete certain URLs from within the Address Bar. Simply type out what you are going to go to, use the arrow keys to go up and down on the sites you want to delete, and simply press the DELETE key (not Backspace) to erase that entry. Works for me in Linux

What happens when you hover your mouse over those entries and press the del key?

Typing file:/// in the Location Bar should bring up all the local files that were opened in Firefox. Highlight the URL that you want gone from autocomplete and hit Delete.
