After the last update, Thunderbird won't connect to my me.com account. Keeps asking for password, won't accept the correct password.

The password is correct. Email account is active and works on my iphone and ipad. But, Thunderbird will not connect on either my MacBook pro nor my Mac desktop. I tried removing the account and adding it back, but now it won't let me connect to add it.
