I always used the tiles to access regular sites in a new tab. That has now been removed. I tried to fix it the other day using long-winded instructions, but it didn't work.

I now find that I can't use any of the menu buttons (bookmarks, downloads, menu).

If there is a quick and easy way to fix these problems, I would be grateful if you would let me know please.

I would like to add that it's really annoying having to fix these issues when they worked perfectly fine before.

Your on a computer. Always expect the unexpected.

Please consider turning on send info to Mozilla before posting a question. This helps us help you. As I have no info from your system that would help see things that cause issues.

Please uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files(x86) Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved.

Reinstall Firefox 56.0.2 with a Full Version Installer https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

Thank you for your reply.

Regardless of whether one should expect the unexpected or not, it is frustrating nonetheless as I have always found Firefox to be reliable.

When asked if I would like to send information about my system I say ‘yes’ but I don’t recall being asked by Mozilla. As I apparently haven’t, would it help you if I gave you some information before proceeding?

If not, I have checked my C drive. I have one folder named ‘Mozilla Firefox’ in C: Program files (x86) but nothing of that name in the C: Program Files folder. (I haven’t deleted it yet.) Should I proceed anyway?

When you say that my Firefox Profile is saved, do you mean that I won’t have to make any changes with the new version (56.0.2).

Also with the menu buttons, sometimes they work, sometimes they don’t.
