I generally have two windows open, and in the past two days I had bee losing the cursor while typing in text boxes, then at one point I realized that what was happening is that a minimized window was being activated. When neither window is minimized, focus will switch from the second window in the taskbar to the first. -just updated flash to see if that would fix it with no result.

Oddly enough, since I began typing this, it hasn't occurred

I assume this is coincidental, but at the same time windows explorer began experiencing crashes, which I seem to have fixed by either copying its EXE into system32 or by changing its options to restrict the use of thumbnails. (Nope. Crashed as I'm typing this.)

Just noticed the FF desktop icon has lost its thumbnail, and that's the only icon experiencing this

FF 59.0.2 64bit Windows 7 Guess I'll restart and do a virus scan now.

Were you displaying active web pages? Meaning that information on those pages was being updated?

No it could be anything on the other window, when it began the visible tab in the background window only had text fields and some static graphics on it. Had that same thought though, strangest thing.

About how often does this happen? Would you be able to

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?
