I have my mail account set up with message filters which send emails to sub folders. When I finish reading mail in one of the sub folders and click on the In Box, it immediately jumps back to the oldest email instead of being at the newest one at the bottom... I like the order oldest to newest (date > ascending), but I don't like that it jumps to the oldest. Is there any way to ensure that I am at the newest message when I go back to the In Box? This doesn't happen with any of the sub folders, just the In Box. Thanks Win

I tested on my system.

I've just changed my Inbox date order setting, so newest is last.

Then selected other folders and subfolders, moved scrollbar to select emails all over the place, then return to Inbox and it is showing the bottom of the list - new stuff.

I even selected an oldest mail in Inbox so deliberately changing the position of scrollbar, went to other folders, returned to Inbox and it is set to show newest at bottom. So it is definately working.

What OS are you using and what version of Thunderbird ?

Thanks for checking I'm using Windows 10 version 1909... and Thunderbird version is 68.10.0. It doesn't seem to be happening all the time, just randomly. I'm doing some experiments to see if it is happening after being in any particular sub folder. Win
