Menu Bar has disappeared
I mistakenly clicked the check mark in front of the View > Toolbars > Menu Bar. I am unable to get it back. Instead I have four rows of icons that are normally at the left end of the address line. I temporarily got a drop down version of the Menu Bar but it does not restore the Menu Bar. I tried the Mozilla Safe Mode instruction to reset toolbars but it had no effect. And now I can't remove the 4 row high "mess" of icons.

Firefox 3.6+ versions have a feature to allow the user to hide the Menu bar.
Hit the Alt key to temporarily show the Menu bar, then open View > Toolbars and select Menu bar, so it has a check-mark.
The F10 can also be used on most PC's to temporarily reveal the Menu bar.
ALT does NOT work. Neither does F10. I did get the bar back it but has only a icon at the far left which, when clicked, will drop down the File-Edit-View-etc. headings. I want it to stay visible, please.
You have an extension installed that gives you that "tiny menu" or "compact menu". Disable or uninstall that extension and the Menu bar should return to its' normal view.
Or, you could use that "tiny menu" extension properly, and move all the elements of the Navigation bar up the the almost empty Menu bar -using the Customize mode - and hide the empty Navigation bar.

And the name of the extension is? Classic Compact?
I managed to get it back together through I am really not sure how.
Come on guys a menu is critical. If I can accidentally remove the menu with a mouse click why the **** can't I replace it without haveing to hit <Alt> or maybe <F10> or something else that might work. Why do I need to search for 15 minutes to find a possible remedy to an accidental mouse click ?
