Do you mean the home (about:home) page that opens if you click the toolbar Home button or the home page of that blog site?

It is possible that the site uses JavaScript or AJAX to load different content on the same page or in a frame. If the URL in the location bar doesn't change then a reload will load the URL that you have in the location bar. A frame can be reloaded via the right-click context menu of that frame.

well cor-el, it is actually my blog (the one in my profile), and i often scroll through a few pages to check links, vids and edits. there are widgets such as polls that often need a refresh to populate properly since i installed 4.0 this week. before the "upgrade," there was never an issue. i've tried system restore to go back to 3.6 (tried that within an hour of installing 4) but it was no longer there at all. wtf? so i am stuck with 4.0 and it's wasting my time on the site that makes me money. i'm a weekend away from going to chrome because this is only one of many issues i've had to deal with since the "upgrade."

thanks for your assistance.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

  • Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
