Does Spatial Navigation Exist for firefox as mentioned here "http://www.mozilla.org/access/keyboard/snav/" ?
Hi,
I've been looking for a spacial navigation feature for Firefox (using arrows to navigate between links as seen on screen, as seen in Opera). I can find some old pages that say it exists and occasional references to it being included in various versions of Firefox, but I can't find it.
I've tried building latest Firefox with the suggested option as mentioned on mozilla org (http://www.mozilla.org/access/keyboar.../snav/):
ac_add_options --enable-extensions=default,spatialnavigation
But get:
configure: error: Unrecognized extension provided to --enable-extensions: spatialnavigation.
So does Spacial Navigation exist for recent Firefox?

Firefox 3.6.x has the SpatialNavigation.js file, but it looks that is has been removed.
There is also some code here:

Does caret browsing do what you want to achieve?
You can press press F7 (on Mac: fn + F7) to toggle caret browsing on/off.
- Tools > Options > Advanced : General: Accessibility: [ ] "Always use the cursor keys to navigate within pages"
Thanks for the quick response cor-el but this doesn't solve my problem.
I want something similar to opera spatial navigation. and whats mentioned on mozilla org regarding spatial navigation.

Tried installing "without mouse" extension as mentioned in the bug 443043 - Firefox - hook snav up to browser , but its also not working.
From another post on mozillazine It seems that the Spatial navigation support has been removed from the firefox. Refer the link below: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=2686787

This also isn't working with the latest firefox (version 19.x.). I have changed max version in the install.rdf as well, but still not working :(
