Hi, I recently updated to version 22.0 . Now when ever I open a new website it starts zoomed in further than it was in previous versions, causing the text/icons/images to become unfocused, how do I restore the zoom level or set a blanket zoom for all pages/sites? Also, all the icons and boxes/tool bars are 'out of focus' but not the text on them, I have a 1920x1080 but have not encountered this problem with any other program or version of Firefox thus far. How do I stop them appearing unfocused? I hope this was clear, thanks for the help

hello, firefox 22 is now respecting the pixel density you've set on a system level in the windows control panel > appearance > display. more information about that is available at http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/make-the-text-on-your-screen-larger-or-smaller

if you want to set the text size/pixel density in firefox different from that of your system's settings like it was handled in prior versions, enter about:config into the firefox address bar (confirm the info message in case it shows up) & search for the preference named layout.css.devPixelsPerPx. double-click it and change its value to 1.0 (or any other zoom factor that fits your purpose; -1.0 is the default value and will adhere to the system settings).

Even with the 1.0 setting, not much changes. And when I revert back to Firefox 21, not much changes either. This is frustrating, I have no idea what to do. Next time you guys make an update, don't mess around with the display settings....people, generally, like things how they are. And I petition for the next update, you guys revert it back to how it was.

Adjust the layout.css.devPixelsPerPx pref and start with 1.0 and increase or decrease its value from 1.0 in 0.05 or 0.1 steps to get the appearance of the user interface correct (icons and text).

Use this extension to adjust the font size for the user interface.

Use this extension to get the appearance of the web pages correct.

I used the extensions, the texts still aren't the same, and the display is still slightly too big, or too small for youtube videos. I guess there's not much to do, but just know, this wasn't necessary....it just created a hassle for me and alot of other users, that wasn't needed. Again, generally people like how things are. Notify developers that next time they should think twice about messing with a major setting like this.

I still find most of my icons fuzzy and the tool bars & text are still rather small, even with alteration, but most websites are back to normal (more or less), I think I may have to keep experimenting. Its a work around, but not perfect as I have my system set to display icons etc. on 'medium' (125%) or else (on this screen) they are far too small to be easily used (and I have 20/20 vision apparently). I'm going to be honest, I think I may go back to FF21 as spending the next few hours to get it looking how it was, while I'm willing to do that, isn't how I want to spend my evening. From the links Waka_Flocka_Flame put up it seems to be common with HD screens. Thanks for all the advice and speedy responses!
