I'm using Firefox Portable at work running from USB stick, and have installed the latest version of Flash in the plugins directory.

However, Firefox is still giving me a warning and asking to use Flash as it seems to use the Flash version that is installed on my work PC (which has not been updated by our IT people since january 2013).

Is there any way I can "force" Firefox to use the Flash version on my USB stick from where I'm running FF ?

Hi philipp, plugins seem to be correctly installed, in the right directories.

however, FF seems to use the locally installed outdated version (managed by admin).

is there a way I can make point FFportable to the flash version on the USB drive (under FF/plugins) ?

Firefox Portable is a 3rd party application with full the approval of Mozilla, but it isn't an official release from Mozilla.

The support forum for Firefox Portable is here:

Here's a thought: If you have both versions of Shockwave Flash showing on the Add-ons page (Ctrl+Shift+a), disable the one you do not want to use (set it to "Never Activate").
