Firefox was running slowly on my computer, so I followed the troubleshooting steps on the Mozilla website to fix "hanging" in Firefox, and renamed a file in my "Profiles" folder. This caused Firefox to crash when I restarted it, and from then on, Firefox would crash whenever I tried to open it again. I restarted Firefox in safe mode, and there were no crashes. I wonder if I had permanently damaged something in the browser thus rendering it unusable.

Your crash report is showing that Firefox crashed on the iCloud Control Panel (appleffdav.dll) but more specifically the iCloud Bookmarks extension you have. It seems like other people have had this crashing problem as well judging from the user reviews. The only way to open Firefox is to disable the add-on. You can start Firefox in Safe Mode and remove the iCloud Bookmarks extension as that is the most likely cause of your crashes. You can then contact Apple for a fix or you can download the latest version of iCloud
