I recently posted the following question and received the answer to restore it from a backup. Due to a number of computer problems it was necessary to reformat the hard drive. When I go to Thunderbird now it shows the main incoming mail but does not show my local folders. I first question was "How do I get to local folders back with their emails?". This was answered with the suggestion to restore Thunderbird from a backup. I do have a backup on a separate hard drive but can't seem to find the Thunderbird backup file. Can someone tell me the name of the Thunderbird and also the Firefox backup files?

Your local folders are under Backupdisk:.......\users\"Your win-username"\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\profiles\?????.default\Mail\Local Folders

????? can be any letters and numbers. AppData is a hidden folder. To see it you must turn "show hidden files and folders" on

Easiest way to import is to use ImportExportTools -addon. https://freeshell.de//~kaosmos/mboximport-en.html
