I have always used Eudora, but now I have Windows 10 on my new computer and am using Thunderbird, which I like. I have a lot of saved Eudora messages I'd like to add to my new computer from my old computer. I also have both a Eudora program and a Thunderbird program on my laptop. Is there some way I can import my email using Clickfree (external hard drive) to my Eudora program on my laptop, then import it to my Thunderbird program on the laptop, then load it back onto my Clickfree (or use a jump drive, etc., then transfer it to my new computer? Or is there some better way to do it?

Thanks for any help you can give. Sherry

There are no reliable methods to import Eudora mail into Thunderbird, but there are work-arounds.

Here are two mozillazine articles which may help.

The first article lists some methods which might work. One suggestion is to use an older version of Thunderbird to import the data.

The second article is probably the better way, but may be time consuming. It includes a section Migrating messages using a mail server which suggests using an IMAP server like gmail to transfer mail from one client to another with the IMAP account as an intermediary.
