Hi, recently Firefox has been unable to load any website or content when I start it up. Other browsers have no problems whatsoever. I tried the articles on the support page, but they don't help. The only thing that works is Refreshing firefox. But when I close the browser and start it again (with or without restarting my pc) the same problem occurs until I refresh. Doesn't matter if I remove addons or not (the only addon I use is Addblock Plus), with or without addons the same problem occurs. The addon and the browser both work fine when I reinstall it. Until I close Firefoxr. Could someone please help me with troubleshooting this? I would appreciate it greatly!

Hello Freaxcelsior

try to boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support(press F8 on the boot screen) and then see if that allows to start firefox.

If firefox works in Windows Safe mode then probably you have problem with other software, like security software or maybe a system driver, that is running on your computer. Please remove all rules for Firefox and plugin-container from the permissions list in the your firewall and let your firewall ask again for permissions to get full access to Firefox installation and at the plugin-container process and also for updater process.

thank you

Hi, thanks for your reply. The browser did indeed act normally in safe mode. So I've been fiddling around with the firewall. I completely removed firefox from the firewall. Afterwards I added the .exe, the updater and plugin container to the list. So far, Firefox seems to be working normally again! Many thanks for your solution!
