So I'm not entirely sure if this is coincidence, bugs, or something else caused by the Windows 10 Anniversary update.

If my firefox is kept open for a period of time (ranging from half a hour to 3 hours), it begins to slow down. I exit FireFox and relaunch it, only for it to be extremely slowed down.

I found it odd, as the only things running on my computer on most of the times was Skype and FireFox.

So i get curious and close skype.

The second i do, my firefox starts working at normal speed, its responsiveness back to normal, no input lag, etc.

So curious, i tried to replicate this circumstance a few times....

I managed to it consistently, albeit the time before it slowed was vastly different per test.

As a note, my average speed for launching Firefox is about 10-11 seconds before its 'ready'.

My average speed with this bug is 45 seconds...

Is this a issue with skype, with Firefox, or with the anniversary update?

Note: I do not have any skype plugins installed.

Do you have third party cookies enabled in Firefox?

However there are some basic troubleshooting steps for a slow start up: Firefox takes a long time to start up

I do have third party cookies enabled.

I have done everything in the FireFox hangs or is not responsive and it does not solve this bug/problem.

One of the main things, i have recently reinstalled Skype and it seems to have stopped for now. I'm not sure if the issue was skype itself, or something else entirely.

Scratch that, issue still exists. I'm going to try blocking third party cookies and see if that solves the problem.
