whenever i want to organize my bookmarks, i use the show all bookmarks window. but the font size is so small and i would appreciate a larger size. i tried using ctrl +/- and the usual zoom option on the side menu but neither work. i am using firefox version 56 on windows 10. thanx.

Is this happening only in the Library window or also elsewhere in the user interface?

Can you attach a screenshot?

You can use this chrome URI to open the Bookmarks Manager (Library) in a Firefox tab:

  • chrome://browser/content/places/places.xul

That way you should be able to zoom the page.

You can look at Theme Font & Size Changer to adjust the font size in the user interface, but this will no longer be possible in Firefox 57+.

thanx alot for your help, cor-el. the chrome url works fine. i can now zoom however i want. are the regular zoom options meant to work on the library window? for me, the options work on the firefox browser but not on the library window at all (no matter what item in the libraryi choose). your response made it seem as if most people don't have this problem, thus, there is something wrong with MY browser.

No. The builtin zoom controls only work on web pages and not for the user interface. If you open the chrome URI in a tab then it behaves as a web page and you can zoom the page.

You can set layout.css.devPixelsPerPx to 1.0 (default is -1) on the about:config page to zoom the entire Firefox window (user interface and web page area). Adjust its value in 0.1 or 0.05 steps (1.1 or 0.9) until icons or text looks right. Modifying layout.css.devPixelsPerPx affects user interface and web pages (global zoom). Make sure that you aren't using too small or too large values.
