Cant seem to access any sites when i turn off private browsing

I always had private browsing option selected. But now that i turned it off i could not access any sites, but once i turn on private browsing again i was able to browse sites again. Cant seem to find whats the issue.

Firefox 68 allows to set whether extensions run in Private Browsing mode or do not run. You can see this in "Add-ons -> Extensions". If it doesn't work in normal mode then one of the extensions might be causing this.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window
