I changed the operatingsystem on my laptop. Installed Firefox and activated sync. I lost all my boomarks by this. Making new bookmarks and sync these, I can open these bookmarks on another synced computer ( als a virigin ). On my Android device all "old" bookmarks are present. Tapping sync they do not appear on my desktop. How do I sync bookmarks from a Android device to a desktop ?

Hi

The way I would do this is to turn off and remove your Firefox Account from the desktop copy. Then (leave it ten minutes), on the Android device, force a sync and/or save a new bookmark.

Again leave it ten minutes then sign into the desktop copy of Firefox with your Firefox Account credentials.

You should now see the content synced across from your Android device.

I hope this helps.

Thank you Seburo,

This works, even without loss of bookmarks.

Thanks.

I have the opposite problem. When I sync Android it destroys most of the bookmarks from my desktops at work. It has happened over several Firefox versions on two different devices (older pad and new Xiaomi phone). I used the bookmarks/show all/import and backup/restore function to get them back, though.
