Are you talking about the home page? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-to-set-the-home-page
Or the search engine? Type about:preferences#search<enter> in the address bar. You can select any search engine to be your default from here.
You can also remove any engine from here.
Hi........Firefox is my browser - Yahoo is my home page. Right now, if I hover under the "Home" icon is says Firefox is my home page. How do I get Yahoo back as my home page.
Thanks!!
The guidance from FredMcD (above) should help you to set the homepage to Yahoo in Firefox.
You can drag a tab with your preferred Yahoo page to the toolbar Home button to set this page as the Home page. You may have to drag the Home button to the Navigation Toolbar if it is currently in the Customize palette.
I'm in "settings.......search" and I am where it says "Default Search Engine" and it says YAHOO is the default search engine in the address bar and search bar. BUT......when I hover over the "home" button in my tool bar it says Firefox home page. It needs to say YAHOO home page. I can't find my YAHOO tool bar either.
Sorry - but this is extremely frustrating. I want my my settings back the way they were before 89 upgrade.
Please help!!
If you type about:preferences#home in the address bar, you should see the options for Homepage and new windows and New tabs. For both options, select Custom URL and enter the address of he page that you would like to see.
I hope that this helps.
I have done that Seburo !! I changed "Homepage & new windows" to Yahoo, BUT.........I am unable to change "new tabs". It currently says Firefox home (default). It will not allow me to change THAT. I've also tried to drag Yahoo into the "home" button - it doesn't accept the change.
