Hi Tricia

I am sorry, but I am not sure what you mean by having to enter codes to get codes.

Please can you provide more information?

Trying to get Codes set for security...two factor. Each time I select get Code, I get a long list of Codes..start putting them in and press continue, it comes back without the list I entered, and only the first code I entered, plus the next first letter in the Second Code I had entered.. I am totally confused and about to quit the whole thing!!! Thx for help!!

I assume you are talking about 2FA recovery codes. The recovery code is meant to be used instead of the 6-digit TOTP (Time-based One-Time Password) code generated by the Authenticator app on a mobile device (there are also extensions and password managers to generate TOTP codes) if you lose access to the Authenticator app. You normally use the Authenticator app to get a valid TOTP code and enter this code to get access and not use a recovery code.

Do not confuse the 6-digit 2FA recovery code with the 32-character recovery key to be used to access a Sync account if you lost/forgot the password. If you use 2FA you always need to supply a 6-digit 2FA TOTP code even if you would want to use the password recovery key.
