Firefox on Android not working on mobile data
Firefox on my android phone times out on any webpage whenever I am not connected to a Wi-Fi. All webpages and IP addresses timeout with no response. Same issue occurs on Firefox Beta app and Firefox Nightly. All other applications work as expected with full internet access on mobile data. The same pages/addresses respond as expected on Chrome and the built-in browser.
Simply put, all Firefox apps have no internet connectivity on mobile data.
Solutions I've attempted with no success or change: Re-install Firefox. Logging out of Firefox Sync. Clear Firefox data and cache. Disabling tracking protection. Disabling HTTPS-only mode. No proxy settings are enabled. Confirmed Firefox application has mobile data network privileges. Disabling, re-enabling mobile data network privs. Installing Firefox Beta and Firefox Nightly; same issue.
Another possibly related issue: Firefox does not follow routes from a Cisco AnyConnect VPN on my phone. Opening pages/IP addresses routed through the VPN are rejected or timeout as if the VPN is not active at all. The same pages/addresses respond as expected on Chrome and the built-in browser. This occurs over Wi-Fi as well, of course nothing works on mobile data as described above.
Device: Oneplus 8T (KB2003) OS: OxygenOS 13.1 (Android 13) Firefox version: 117.0.1

Yep working on my device too. Anyconnect VPN routing is also working now.
Thanks to whoever resolved it at oneplus, android, and/or firefox :)

Hi
Does Firefox for Android access mobile data when the VPN is turned off?
Hi Paul,
The VPN not working is a completely separate issue. Firefox on my phone does not display any signs of internet connectivity through mobile data, with or without a VPN active.
To be absolutely clear: 1. Firefox on my phone does not have internet access over mobile data. Other browsers and applications function perfectly normal with full internet access over mobile data. Once the phone is connected to a Wi-Fi, Firefox regains internet access.
2. Firefox is not able to route through the Cisco AnyConnect VPN on my phone, both over Wi-Fi and mobile data. Other applications route through the VPN as expected. This issue (2) begun before the issue above (1) started, so I was able to reproduce the problem (2) on both Wi-Fi and mobile data.

Having the exact same problem with OnePlus 9. Also tried all troubleshooting steps OP did, they didn't work on my phone either.
Today I enabled Network Logs with the app PCAPdroid and I think I found the cause.
When I use Chrome or Brave, they connect to the mobile provider's proxy under 194.48.124.7 (belongs to A1 Austria) with port 8001.
But Firefox tries to connect to port 80 and times out.
When I look into my mobile internet APN settings, it lists port 8001, not port 80. (See screenshot) My guess is that Firefox does not handle the APN proxy info correctly.
As to why it's only happening now, maybe my mobile provider switched proxy ports or had a redirect from 80 to 8001 which was turned off recently.
I have the exact same problem (mobile data not working, I don't use VPN), and have also tried all of the things mentioned above by the OP.
I've had this problem for about two weeks also.
I'm using a OnePlus 10T 5G. Android 13, last updated August 5th

I am having the same issue on a OnePlus Nord 2 also with A1 Telekom Austria. Looks like a OnePlus specific issue.
This started out of the blue, some time early September, while the last OnePlus Android update was beginning of August. Something changed in Firefox that made it stop working on OnePlus devices. My device got an Android update (v13.1) this week and the problem persists.
BTW there are three other OnePlus devices in my household, all experiencing this problem.

This has been fixed now
