Search does not work right. I find the latest update to be impossible to use. It comes up with a list of options that tell me nothing about what is in the emails. It use to be that It would just give me a list of emails that contain the search term listed with the latest ones at the top with the subject line and email address. I could then scroll through the list. I can not find any customization to return the old way. I have almost totally quit using search and just have to scroll through my emails to find any thing. I have a lot of emails in my inbox and it can take a lot of time by this archaic method. Please tell me how to change back to the old way or please change the a new(old) way in future releases.

Hmm, this stuff has not changed in like a decade. But the quick search (ctrl+Shift+K) has been somewhat hidden in the new user interface. Use the shortcut to activate it and see if that is what you are remembering. If it is not there is not point showing you where to find it normally.

A screen shot of what you see would most helpful.

My initial thought is, delete globalmessages-db.sqlite file found in you

I was confused by the window that opened as you type a search word. I have attached a screen shot of it. I kept trying to figure out which address I needed to click on. Once I entered after typing the full search term I got a usable list though not as compact as it use to be but still usable. I will attach a screen shot of this list.
