Most bookmarks missing favicons
"You will have to visit each link (i.e. click the bookmark) to make Firefox retrieve the favicon"
That the common advice. Never works for me. If it was actually going to work, wouldn't it be when you originally create the bookmark?.
Having these favicons saves time, makes you workflow easier. Am I correct that the problem is with the given website making it available?

You can check for problems with the places.sqlite and favicons.sqlite files in the Firefox profile folder.
- use the "Places Database" -> "Verify Integrity" button in "Help -> More Troubleshooting Information" (about:support)
If errors are reported with "Verify Integrity", close and restart Firefox or reboot the computer and retry.
Unless something has changed, Firefox wouldn't save the site icon for the bookmark in these scenarios:
(1) The bookmarked URL redirects to a different page. In this case, you'll notice that the star in the address bar isn't solid when you use the bookmark. Try updating the bookmark to the final URL.
(2) The site instructs Firefox not to store the site icon. I don't know why Firefox honors this. I wrote an add-on to work around it. (Cache Favicons for Bookmarks)
(3) The site icon isn't a supported format. Firefox historically displays more types of images on the tab than it will save as a site icon. Probably there are some bugs on file about this, but I don't know the status.

Verify Integrity takes about 8-10 seconds on my new laptop, it took about 10-15 seconds on my old laptop. They both used SSDs. If you have a spinning drive, it will take longer because one of the functions is to "vacuum" the database (https://www.sqlite.org/lang_vacuum.html).

After visiting sade.com and other sites. see screenshotI apologize if I gave the impression that I don't have any favicons. It's just that estimate about 80-90% don't have favicons. Including Sade.
Even when I drag and drop the address to my desktop, no favicon.

Is there something specific I must do to get the best results?
