My security setting will not allow a very important and time sensitive document. Your help site will not allow me to change security. I need to speak to some person, not this computer. This is very important and I have no time to wait.

First, I apologize for the delay.

Did you try to right-click the link to the PDF and save it to your desktop so you can open it from there? That should work in many cases.

If there is no link and the PDF is pushed to the browser, you can set PDFs to open in Adobe Reader.

In Adobe Reader or Acrobat, call up

Edit > Preferences

In the left column, click Internet

In the right pane, uncheck "Display PDF in browser"

This should deactivate the plugin so when a web server pushes a PDF you get the Open/Save dialog.

If none of that works, can you describe the security message in more detail?
