My yahoo messenger troubleshooting says that I have a possible problem with HTTP connection. Obviously I can connect to the internet because I am writing to you. It tells me in IE to open the tools menu and choose internet options, then click the connections tab. Depending on which I'm using, dial-up or LAN to verify that my existing connections settings are correct. It says that I have to use IE to change the settings but I've downloaded Firefox to use instead. What do I do to change the proxy settings? Thank you in advance.

This is a problem of Yahoo! Messenger

Open Yahoo! Messenger -> go to Messenger Menu -> click Preferences -> Connection section -> select Radio Button Option1 "Connect Directly to the Internet" -> click OK -> Exit Yahoo! Messenger

Now Restart Yahoo! Messenger. Check and tell if its working.

Ok...I finally got it to open up. This is how: clicked on Messenger, then preferences, then connection, then directly to internet connection, then down at the bottom of the box, I chose high speed and what country, then apply and OK...it worked. Thank you so much for your replies... :)
