RE: Firefox (FF) v6.0.0.4240; Windows XP Home w/SP3; Thunderbird (TB) v6.0.0.4241 ..///.. My problem is .... when I am checking my email using TB v6 and, when I click on a link in the email to view "whatever", FF v6 opens only to the Windows "taskbar". FF v6 window does not open. I have to open/restore FF at the taskbar in order to view the web-page (link) that I had clicked in the email. The previous versions of FF and TB had no problem. I believe the problem to be with FF rather than TB. So far this is the only problem I have noticed.

Additional follow-up ..... This same problem occurs when any application I open requires an internet connection; for example .. checking for updates .. FF6 does not open to the respective web-site. FF6 "opens" (for lack of a better word) to the Windows task bar. I have either CLICK on or RIGHT CLICK - RESTORE in order to view the web-site/page.

Follow-up .... I have additionally noticed the following. For example, I have an application open/running. This application utilizes the Internet to check for updates for this application. When I start checking for updates, FF6 is supposed to open to the specified webpage/site and, at the same time FF6 opens, FF6 is supposed to automatically "shift" (go to) to FF6 with FF6 "on top". Also, I have noticed that the task bar "button" for FF6 is not activated. In order for me to view FF6 I have to: 1) use ALT-TAB to move to FF6, or 2) LEFT-CLICK on the task bar button, or 3) RIGHT-CLICK - RESTORE on the task bar button to view FF6. I guess my input here is apparently not that important for anyone at Mozilla to respond. So then, I wonder why users are not very happy with the various support groups when problems arise; not just Mozilla! Anyway, there it is. I hope to get some response with a possible fix, work-around, or whatever.
