It crashes, and when it's crashed, I can't open it again, even in safe mode. It just keeps crashing. I have to install Firefox 4, upgrade to 5. I have lost hours on this, while doing very important research.

This is the first time I am seriously thinking of abandoning FF. 6.0 was like this, and there was no improvement in 6.0.1. Never happened before on 4 or 5.

Please guys, do something before you start losing users on it!

Any trips on how to handle this would be appreciated.

So, Firefox 5 is working? Can you get a crash report from when Firefox 6 was crashing? Enter about:crashes in the Firefox address bar to get a list of Submitted Crash Reports and post a link from a recent crash. See Troubleshoot Firefox crashes (closing or quitting unexpectedly) and Mozilla Crash Reporter for more information.

If it doesn't happen in Firefox 5 but just started in Firefox 6 it could be malware. See Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware
