Hi,

My computer got stuck at the Window 7 logo and i could not open it even after a system repair. The only solution i had was to do a Dell Data Safe Restore and Emergency Backup. I found most of my files after but when i reinstalled Firefox, the only bookmarks i could retrieve were the ones from Internet Explorer. I searched for Json files, i found one but it's not the bookmarks i had before the restore. Are my bookmarks lost forever?

Thank you for your help.

Sorry, I am not familiar with Dell Data Safe Restore and Emergency Backup and have no idea exactly what that program backs up. Like every other web browser out there (other than IE), bookmarks are stored in a location unique to the individual brand of web browser.

Chances are your Firefox Bookmarks are gone, but you might want to check with a Dell support forum for Dell Data Safe Restore and Emergency Backup to see what they say.

For the future so that you aren't in this position again, see this support article.
