I have 2 desktop pc's, one running Windows XP and the other Windows 7. Both have Firefox V23.0. On the XP machine, if I highlight a word on a webpage, I get a popup that either defines the word or offers search engines. The Windows 7 machine does not function in this manner, and I wish to have it do as the XP machine does.

What do I need to do to enable the Windows 7 capability?

Many thanks for any assistance.

hello, this functionality is likely offered by some sort of extension. on your xp machine go to firefox > addons > extensions and see if there are any entries that is related to this feature, so that you can search for it & install it on the other machine as well...

BINGO!!!

YOU DA BOMB!!!!

Indeed it was an extension, FastestFox. I now have it functioning on my Windows 7 machine.

For anyone who may have an interest, here is link to the extension: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/fastestfox-browse-faster/

MANY thanks.
