WhenI click on an external link in my email client (Outlook 2010), Firefox opens 2 new windows, both display the "linked to" site. (Not a home page and the linked page, but 2 pages of the link page).

Or, if I'm working in Firefox and click on a link one a webpage, Firefox opens that link in 2 new windows.

I run Kaspersky 2014 and update automatically everytime I log in, and run virus checks on a regular basis. I've not had any hits.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window
