Why did you need to add an exception for your server's certificate. Is it a valid certificate?

You can check for problems with the certificate itself and the server's SSL configuration using this page:

https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/

If you have difficulty using the results of the report, you could give us a link to the page where you get the error.

i use my server ip and a port, but sometimes i change the port like for example 1.1.1.1:8888 where 1.1.1.1 is my server ip and 8888 is my port that i need to change sometimes, so i could not give you the URL because i change the port often? how i can contact you private?

I think we had a thread about this before, where a user discovered that certificate exceptions for port 443 are not automatically applied to other ports. You may need to save additional exceptions for new ports you create.

If the interactive method isn't working, try using this internal page (copy/paste this to the address bar and press Enter to load it):

chrome://pippki/content/exceptionDialog.xul

There you should be able to enter the host name and port number, click Get certificate, then add an exception.

Does that work?

if i change my port the problem show up again...feel me?

that's why i could not give you specific URL...but i can give you my website URL and my website IP

Note that you can open the Add Exception page via the Servers tab of the Certificate Manager.

  • Options/Preferences -> Advanced -> Certificates: View Certificates -> Servers

i did what you told me, it says.... this site provides valid, verified identification, there is no need to add exception. and there is no option to confirm my security exception....

i read this message before because i already added exception to my URL, when i remove my exception, then it allow me to submit my URL security exception but again my URL won't load

That's a URL to use in Firefox. (Mozilla has used "chrome:" as a protocol for internal addresses and "chrome" to refer to the browser UI for a long time. Someone else liked it so much they named a bunch of products after it.)
