The Option menu won't load. I tried restarting with add-ons disabled, but it doesn't re-start. I tried starting in safe mode, and it loads, but again, no web sites will load. I'm running Firefox 73.0 and , with Bit defender. And help would be appreciated!

@jrian, can you check if downloading the update to firefox 73.0.1 that was released just now can address your issue?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Are you using 0patch-Agent ? See https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/forums/support-forum-contributors/713924?last=77606

You can possibly try the current Nightly build.

Yeah, I tried starting in safe mode. No difference. It doesn't crash or error - it just wont load url's or display any web content. The 'web window' portion of the Firefox screen is blank. It is not set for Windows 7 mode - that box is unchecked. Not sure what to do :(

I should also say, I sincerely appreciate the suggestions!

I think it's some issue with Firefox 70s working with the Windows 7 mode of system. I've been having the same problems after updating Firefox to 70s on my Windows 7 system. It only runs when I boot up Windows in Safe Mode.

This is confusing:

What do you mean by "Windows 7 mode"?

I mean that people running Windows 7 systems like me or using Win 7 Compatibility Mode will have issues running the Firefox 70s.
