Firefox won't load any page, other browsers still can.
Starting today Firefox won't load any pages. Refresh did not help. Safe mode did not help. Cleared cache did not help. No problem with other browsers. When I close nonresponsive tab and reopen, I get "Gah! Your tab has crashed" message. But there are no recent crash reports in log. Firefox and antiviral software have been up-to-date for weeks without problem before this issue started. No recent software updates before this problem appeared. Full computer viral/malware scan turned up nothing. I'm not a techie, and I don't know what to do to fix this. Working on Mac OS. Can anyone help? Thank you!

Let’s do a full clean re-install;
Note: Firefox comes in three or more folders on all computers. They are;
Maintenance: (Programs Folder) <Windows Only> Firefox itself: (Programs Folder) And two folders in the profile of each user on the computer for each Firefox profile for that user.
If you remove the Firefox folder, the user profiles would not be affected.

Save the file. Then Close Firefox.

Does not help. Latest Firefox update wasn't all that recent anyway.
Start Firefox using Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode {web link}
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?
Start your Computer in safe mode with network support. Then start Firefox. Try Secure websites. Is the problem still there?

As a test, disable your protection programs.
Tried both starting Firefox in Troubleshooting mode and starting my computer in safe mode, neither made any difference. Firefox still won't load any pages, web addresses won't even write in the search bar. Please note, with respect to the Windows safe-mode link you provided, that I'm working on a Mac.
