I have ADBLOCK PLUS on my system because I absolutely hate ads. ADBLOCK PLUS has been doing a great job of preventing ads of any kind. However, in the past couple weeks, after visiting various websites, I suddenly discover that not one, but two unwanted FIREFOX ads for Woman's Day/Dr. Oz have popped up in the background. The first ad is for Woman's Day, and when I close that one, I see the Dr. Oz ad is there, too. These ads are coming from FIREFOX and I really resent it. I'm also unhappy with the number of "crashes" with Firefox and how many times I've discoverd my tabs have disappeard, even though I have everything set so that shouldn't be happening.

Is anyone else experiencing these things? What can be done?

It sounds like you have malware on your computer. Please try the steps at Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware (especially running a malwarebytes scan) to remove anything that could be causing this.

I have Malwarebytes security software on my system, and nothing has been detected. Anything else you can think of?

Did you run all the other programs in that list?

Try doing a full Reset of Firefox. Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings
