Firefox won't load Streams
Currently I cannot watch streams on firefox. Regular videos work fine even youtube streams for some reason but things like Twitch refuse to work. The website loads fine except for the video is just blank or I get a message like This Video isn't encoded for your device. I've made sure firefox is updated, I updated flash, cleared browser cache, even flushed DNS and still nothing. Yet I go onto internet Explorer and it works, I would prefer to use firefox but I do not know what I can do to get the streams to show.

Does the Web Console (Firefox menu button or Tools > Web Developer) show any more specific error message?
It is possible that only media types are offered by the server that Firefox can't play with the HTML5 media player.
Yes I've gotten
- This site makes use of a SHA-1 Certificate; it's recommended you use certificates with signature algorithms that use hash functions stronger than SHA-1
- Invalid URI. Load of media resource failed.
- HTTP load failed with status 403.
- TypeError: is null
Hope that helps figure out whats wrong, and thanks for any help.
"Invalid URI. Load of media resource failed." means that there is a problem with the link to the media source that Firefox uses. It is possible that the file isn't present on the server. There may be more formats offered that Firefox doesn't support and thus can't be used.
You can check the Network log in the Network Monitor (Firefox/Tools > Web Developer) to see what media content Firefox tries to load.
Use Ctrl+F5 or Ctrl+Shift+R to reload the page and bypass the cache to generate a fresh log.
An gyara
I tried this out with a few websites and the streams come up with an error.
With Twitch its a 404 Not Found json at api.twitch.tv
The other I'm getting a 403 Forbidden html
I'm assuming these errors are the problem.
I have a similar problem with Hulu. Firefox 42 with w10

Hello, is anyone there?
When I try to watch something on Hulu - like I have for the last few years - Firefox tells me that :"The audio or video on this page requires DRM software that Firefox does not support" and then provides a link labeled "Learn More". But, when I click on that link there is no information about how to use Firefox to watch Hulu. Why did this problem start happening, and when will it be fixed. I do not like having to use a different browser in order to do what I used to be able to do with Firefox with no difficulty at all.
