need to transfer a plugin that is no longer offered from 1 computer running firefox to another
I need clipta for work related reasons but it is no longer offered on the firefox plugin menu i have it on my old computer that runs the same version of firefox as this one note i checked the the plugin is not compatable with the 4.0 firefox well i need the plugin on this computer is there a way i can get it say like copy a certain folder in the others firefox folder to this ones and where would i find it and how would i identify it btw in the trouble shooting info i put the info for my new computer not the one that still has clipta

Is the add-on available anywhere else? (for instance a web search leads to http://download.cnet.com/Clipta-Toolbar-with-Downloader/3000-11745_4-10878971.html )
Normally add-ons are not moved manually, if you do try it at least make sure you set up a new additional profile for firefox 3.6, and check that it works, that way you will be able to modify only the new profile. It would be much easier if you could find another copy of the installation file for that add-on. (did you keep that on the old computer)
Are both the computers being used Windows 7 computers ?
(I am using XP and would not be certain of paths Windows 7 uses)

I have this problem too. I solved it by downloading an older version of Firefox and it worked.
Fixed it went on my other computer that still has it and went to trouble shoot info in help and clicked open containing folder for the profile then went to ext and copied the clipta plugin to a flash drive and moved it to my new computer and put it in the same place
