FF hangs often between 30 seconds and 2 minutes

The default of the pref network.http.max-connections has been increased from 30 to 256 in Firefox 6+ versions.
You can try to decrease the value of the pref network.http.max-connections from 255 to a more modest setting like 30 as used in Firefox 3 versions.
Thanks a lot, I will try that, and if I still have more probs, will get back to you. Thanks Regards John
Sorry, but that did not change anything, directr after I changed the value to 30 and restarting FF, it had the same problem again.
Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

ok that seems to work, but safe mode is not as good... anything else i can do? I used the default theme before and on flash for videos and ant downloader
Sorry but just when I went to http://www.coolfunnyjokes.com/Funny-Jokes/Computer-Jokes it stopped again for 30 seconds
That page has a few Flash objects.
Does it happen only on pages that use a plugin like Flash?
Does it stop if you disable Flash as a test?
- Tools > Add-ons > Plugins
An gyara
I happens all the time, even when flash is disabled.
Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
See "Basic Troubleshooting: Make a new profile":
There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.
If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.
