How do I open a new tab by holding a link?
I recently upgraded my OS and Firefox app. Before this, I used to be able to click and hold a link to open it as a new tab. I can't do this any more unless I also click on Command. How do I regain this functionality?

That would be ui.click_hold_context_menus (KB link is OK, but pref name got wrong above).

See if this still works on newer Macs. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Ui.click_hold_context_menus
type about:config in the URL bar and hit Enter "Search" at the top = ui.click_hold_context.menus When that preferences appears, double-click to toggle to True
Got to about:config but there was no ui.click_hold_context.menus option.

I am on Mac OS 10.10.5 and Firefox 43.0.4... on both my work laptop (MacBook Air) and my personal laptop (MacBook Pro). Here's the thing... I can click and hold a link on my personal laptop and I'll get the context menu (Open Link in New Tab, Open Link in New Window, Open Link in New Private Window, Bookmark This Link, Share This Link, Save Link As..., Copy Link Location, Search Google for, Inspect Element, Web Developer).
I can't get ANYTHING when I hold a link on my work laptop.
Can someone please help me with this, please? I'd like the same functionality I have at home on my new work laptop. Thanks!
Did you check mozillaZine knowledge base article for more details?
If you have a mouse with two or more buttons then you can right-click a link to open the context menu.
