Hi,

I have Firefox ver.48 running on Win10 and I'm trying to install an addon called "TVSClientOCX_Setup" so I can watch video in my browser from my IP Camera.

The issue is Firefox will not install it, the installation runs OK, but the addon is not in the addon list and I cannot view the video from my camera.

Please help.

Sorry, missed this the first time. You are running with the 64-bit version for Windows?

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:48.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/48.0

The 64-bit version only allows two plugins, Flash and Silverlight. To use other plugins, you'll need to run the standard 32-bit version.

To grab an installer: https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/

With that file, Firefox should do an in-place update preserving all your data, but it wouldn't hurt to make a backup:

Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles

Are you sure that add-on is for Firefox? The acronym OCX usually refers to an ActiveX control that runs only in Internet Explorer.

I find their support responses somewhat confusing: http://forum.tenvis.com/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=134332

Hi,

thanks for the reply and suggestion.

I downloaded the 32bit version and was able to upload the plug-in and now my camera works on Firefox.

It's a shame TENVIS couldn't be more helpful and have an awareness of the issue of using Firefox 64bit.

Once again, thanks a lot.
