Change to Brave search engine
I have Firefox 102.10 on my Debian install. I want to use the Brave search engine as i suspect duckduckgo has sort of turned woke.
Currently the only way I can do it is by setting the home screen to https://search.brave.com/
But I want to add the query string below so my options under Default Search Engine will show Brave https://search.brave.com/search?q=%s
How do I do this, I see this option on Chrome, Edge and many other browsers but it's like it's been purposely removed in Firefox. My only alternative will be to remove Firefox and install Brave itself if there isn't a work around.

Hi
Have you tried using this search engine add-on?
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/addon/brave-search/
This is a big problem, what if I wanted to have multiple different search engines to choose from when I need, does it mean I must try to find a plug-in each one, I find this clunky not to mention a possible security risk as I don't know these developers of such plug-ins or how well these are maintained.
I just can't understand why firefox would limited this browser and remove such a useful feature when just about every other browser allows for this.
Sorry, but I have decided to install the brave browser as it's all built in and gives me the freedom to add other browser search engines without having to add extensions.
- Go to https://search.brave.com/.
- Expand the address bar.
- Click the Add search engine „Brave search” icon.
That's all.
That's perfect, it worked and has added it to my defaults, cheers for the helpful suggestion. I can continue using firefox.
